DRCOG seeks award nominations celebrating regional excellence

The Denver Regional Council of Governments is accepting nominations for its Metro Vision, John V. Christensen Memorial and Way to Go awards through Friday, April 17. The awards honor people, organizations, programs and plans that improve the quality of life across the Denver region through innovation and collaboration.
Winners will be recognized Wednesday, August 26, at a gala at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
How to submit a nomination
Submitting a nomination takes only a few steps:
- Log in or create an account at drcog.org.
- Complete the nomination form.
- Click "Submit."
Nominees may save their work and return later, but all nominations must be submitted by Friday, April 17.
About the DRCOG Awards
John V. Christensen Memorial Award: This award honors the legacy of John V. Christensen, former Arapaphoe County Commissioner and DRCOG co-founder. The award recognizes individuals who advance regional cooperation and collaboration.
Metro Vision Awards: The Metro Vision Awards celebrate communities and partners demonstrating excellence, innovation, collaboration and leadership in addressing regional challenges.
Way to Go Awards: The Way to Go Awards honor commuters and employers who support commuting options to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.
Categories include:
- Rising Star: A commuter new to sustainable travel.
- Employer Champion: An organization that makes sustainable commuting easier for employees.
- Commuter of the Year: Someone who demonstrates a year-round commitment to sustainable commuting.
