DRCOG, in its role as the metropolitan planning organization for the Denver region, collaborates with local governments in the region to create the Transportation Improvement Program, a four-year plan that implements the long-range Regional Transportation Plan's goals and identifies specific transportation and transit projects for which the region will allocate its federal, state and local funds.
Addressing transportation projects in the region also includes the creation of several set-aside programs. The set-aside programs provide federal funds for projects that address specific priorities identified by DRCOG's Board of Directors and partners.
