The John V. Christensen Memorial Award has been presented since 1973 and is one of the region’s most prestigious awards. It recognizes individuals who promote cooperation and collaboration for the benefit of the region. Recent recipients have included former Lone Tree mayor Jackie Millet, former Broomfield mayor Karen Stuart and former Westminster mayor Herb Atchison.

The winner remains a secret until the evening of the August 26 awards celebration at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
