Denver, Colorado — The Denver Regional Council of Governments has appointed Jenny Hunnings as its new chief operating officer. In this role, Hunnings will oversee the agency’s internal operations, helping to advance organizational effectiveness and strategic priorities.

“Jenny brings tremendous financial acumen and a collaborative approach to everything she does,” said Douglas W. Rex, executive director. “Her experience and steady leadership will be instrumental in advancing DRCOG’s priorities."

“I am excited to serve DRCOG in a broader fashion and look forward to addressing operational needs across the agency,” said Hunnings.

Hunnings has more than 25 years of experience in financial and business operations. She began her employment with DRCOG in 2014 as contracts and budget manager. She was promoted to accounting services manager in 2015 and director of the Administration and Finance division in 2019.
