Bicycle Facility Closures and Detours

Be prepared this Bike to Work Day! Review the bicycle facility closures and Denver-region detours that may include on- and off-street facilities including shared use paths, side paths, bike landes and more. This information was provided by local municipalities but Way to Go recommends checking your local government website closer to June 26 to make sure there are no unexpected closures or detours on your planned route.

Cities and Towns

City of Arvada

The Ralston Creek Trail is closed through Danny Kendrick East Park and Davis Lane Park.

  • The trail closure through Danny Kendrick East Park is in effect now. It's a relatively short, straightforward detour and there is great detour signage in place on site.
  • Davis Lane has the detour map posted on the project page. The detour is not yet in effect but will likely begin in June.

City of Aurora

Along the Piney Creek Trail, the Arapahoe/Liverpool underpass continues to be closed, and users may use the at-grade crossing. There is also a traail closure and detour along West Toll Gate Trail during construction at Horseshoe Park. Please see the PROS Trail and Park Closure, Detours and Notices webmap.
