
Bicycle facility closures and detours
Be prepared this Bike to Work Day! Check this page for bicycle facility closures and Denver-region detours that may include on- and off-street facilities including shared use paths, side paths, bike lanes and more. This information will be provided by local municipalities but Way to Go recommends checking your local government website closer to June 25, 2025 to make sure there are no unexpected closures or detours on your planned route.
City of Arvada
Ralston Creek Trail: Full trail closure with a detour down West Woods Circle and back up West 67th Place. Trail re-opening is on track for June, pending heavy equipment work is complete, and a safe travel and work environment can be ensured for crews and the public.
City of Broomfield
Zip Path closure: A section of the Zip Path trail is closed along the south side of Flatiron Crossing Drive due to hazardous conditions from west of Interlocken Blvd to west of Flatiron Marketplace. See map. Commuters may use the side path along Flatiron Crossing Drive.
Frank Varra Park Trail closure: An 8-foot pedestrian trail in Frank Varra Park is closed, north of the Flatiron Crossing shops parking lot (from Point A to Point B) due to hazardous conditions. The US 36 Bikeway and Rock Creek Trail remain open and unimpacted. A detour is signed for the Frank Varra Park closure, directing trail users to use the 12-foot US 36 Bikeway. See map for details.
Road closures:
- 160th Avenue from Sheridan to business driveway.
- Perry Street from 50 feet north of 120th Avenue to 175 feet north of 120th Avenue. Commuters may use Lowell Boulevard as an alternative route.
Jefferson County
Roadway paving underway along Columbine Drive from Kipling to Wadsworth during the week of Bike to Work Day (6/23-6/27).
