In June 2020, Governor Jared Polis named DRCOG as the independent agency that would host a new Regional Transportation District Accountability Committee.
The purpose of the committee was to provide an independent and objective analysis of the Regional Transportation District's operations. It was formed in collaboration with the Governor's office, RTD and the chairs of the state house and senate transportation committees.
