With exciting new parking reform policies being adopted across the region, DRCOG is hosting a Metro Vision Idea Exchange focused on parking policy innovations. This event offers an opportunity to explore the opportunities and challenges of modernizing parking policy.

Attendees will hear from planners across the region, including:

  • Ben Ortiz, transportation planner, City of Longmont.
  • Libby Kaiser, principal city planner, City and County of Denver.
  • Marc Ambrosi, principal transportation planner, City and County of Broomfield.
  • Chris Hagelin, principal transportation planner, City of Boulder.

To elevate lessons learned and foster peer exchange, the Idea Exchange will provide a platform for thoughtful conversation about what’s working, what’s emerging, and what’s on the horizon. Since DRCOG hosted the “Metro Vision Idea Exchange: Maxed Out! Setting Limits on New Parking to Meet Community Goals” in March 2023, much has changed. DRCOG wants to explore how local approaches have evolved, and understand how they connect to broader planning priorities.

Persons in need of auxiliary aids or services, such as interpretation services or assisted listening devices, are asked to contact the meeting organizer, Noreen Smyth at nsmyth@drcog.org at least 72 (three business days) hours in advance of the meeting.
