DRCOG is planning to follow up last year's successful Small Communities, Hot Topics workshop with a second session aimed at issues of concern to self-identified smaller jurisdictions. DRCOG awarded $4.5 million to assist service providers

DRCOG has been awarded $4.5 million from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services to bridge the gap between clinical and community service providers. Known as the Accountable Health Communities model, this innovative approach will strengthen the network of health and social providers to better assist Medicare and Medicaid recipients. New Land Use Explorer launches

The socioeconomic team at DRCOG has created a new tool to show forecast data created using UrbanSim. Forecasts from the model were used to create the DRCOG Land Use Explorer, where users can examine forecasts for multiple geographies including zones, municipalities, counties, and urban centers calculated at five-year intervals between 2010 and 2040.

New Metro Vision plan approved

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, the DRCOG Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve the latest version of Metro Vision, the region's plan for growth and development out to the year 2040. By speaking with one voice to adopt the plan, the Board gives life to an aspirational vision for the metro area. More than five years in the making, the current version of Metro Vision represents a significant update to the plan that has guided local decision making for more than 20 years. Read the plan.
