DRCOG awards $1 million in grants to six transportation demand management projects

The Denver Regional Council of Governments awarded $1 million in grants to six transportation demand management projects as part of a set-aside within the Transportation Improvement Program. Grants are for fiscal years 2024-2025. The purpose of the transportation demand management set-aside program is to support marketing, outreach and research projects to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.

A total of 12 applications were submitted for consideration combining for a total funding request of more than $1.3 million.

The successful applicants scored highest in the following criteria:

  • Innovativeness.
  • Replicability.
  • Reduction in vehicle miles of travel.
  • Focus on environmental justice areas.
  • DRCOG urban centers.
