  • Communities throughout the Denver region are placing an increased emphasis on enhancing personal mobility, reducing motor vehicle travel, improving air quality and supporting healthy lifestyles. Residents expect transportation networks to be multimodal, well-connected and accessible for users of various abilities. From Beijing and Paris to Lone Tree and Westminster, municipalities throughout the world have turned to bike sharing systems to meet increased demand for multimodal connectivity.  Bike-share systems vary in type and scale ranging from station-based systems to dockless and hybrid options.

As communities across the region introduce new bike-share systems and technologies, the potential to coordinate and learn from one another has increased. Learn about the challenges and opportunities in implementing bike-share programs from local partners around the DRCOG region who work in diverse physical and social environments.  Presenters and participants will discuss stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies, regulatory options for permitting bike-share systems, and current and future options for bike sharing in local communities. Please join us for the presentation, followed by a panel discussion.
