Join us as we explore the concept of resilience and highlight groundbreaking Colorado initiatives to prepare for natural hazards and plan for other stresses such as economic downturns. Participants will learn about the state's resiliency framework and how local communities throughout the region are integrating hazard preparedness and resiliency into local planning.
Participants will also get a preview of the Planning for Hazards: Land Use Solutions for Colorado guide and website. This new tool provides a step-by-step approach to identifying hazards, selecting appropriate land use planning and policy strategies, and implementing them using model code language.
