Public comment open for draft 2024-2025 Unified Planning Work Program

DRCOG staff seeks public input on the draft 2024-2025 Unified Planning Work Program. The program is a federally required two-year outline of activities DRCOG will conduct in its role as the metropolitian planning organization for the Denver region.

Plan to attend DRCOG’s 2023 annual awards gala

Registration is now open for the 2023 DRCOG annual awards celebration. Under the theme “All in,” attendees will celebrate exceptional regional accomplishments and collaborations in the areas of transportation and personal mobility, growth and development, and aging and disability resources.

Denver region residents graduate from Civic Academy spring session

In June, more than two dozen Denver region residents completed DRCOG's Civic Academy. During the seven-week course, participants strengthened their leadership skills and increased their knowledge of civic issues affecting the Denver region, such as transportation, housing and economic vitality. Using a curriculum based on Metro Vision, the region's plan for livability, participants spent three hours a week learning from local subject matter experts and building relationships with other attendees.

Updated Framework for Transportation Planning now available

The Denver Regional Council of Governments has recently updated the Framework for Transportation Planning in the Denver Region. The document augments the metropolitan planning agreement by providing an overview of DRCOG, its role in regional transportation planning, and the various transportation planning products, programs and processes in the context of federal, state and regional requirements.

DRCOG unveils new Complete Streets prioritization analysis in the story map

Following the completion of the regional Complete Streets Toolkit, President Joe Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law.

This federal legislation, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, includes a requirement to develop a Complete Streets prioritization plan that identifies a specific list of Complete Streets projects to improve the safety, mobility or accessibility of a street.
