A portion of Highway 73 could be improved if Jefferson County receives federal funding as part of the Denver Regional Council of Governments Transportation Improvement Program. The project, which currently tops the priority list for the county’s TIP projects, would stretch from Highway 74 to Buffalo Park Road and includes the addition of shoulders, trail, drainage improvements and Buffalo Park Road intersection improvements. According to the DRCOG website, TIP identifies all current federally funded transportation projects to be completed in the Denver region during a four-year period. Canyon Courier, Feb. 19
