Proposals sought for senior services funds

The DRCOG Area Agency on Aging (AAA) receives federal Older Americans Act Title III funds and State Funding for Senior Services funds to support community-based service programs that benefit adults age 60 and older within DRCOG’s eight-county AAA service area. The state allocated additional funding for senior services to the AAA for the current fiscal year. As such, the AAA is currently accepting grant proposals for senior services for the six-month period from Jan. 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019, outside its typical two-year grant cycle. Interested organizations are also encouraged to submit a proposal to the regular two-year grant cycle which will open before the end of the calendar year.

To be considered for funding, applicants are required to attend a mandatory webinar training on Sept. 12, or view the recorded version online (posted one business day after training is held), prior to submitting a proposal. Information on the services that are eligible for funding, the service area, proposal application and other key items are available on the RFP site, and in brief here.
