Go-Tober challenge concludes

DRCOG's Way to Go program has come to the end of another successful Go-Tober challenge! Fifty-eight companies throughout the metro area participated in this annual friendly competition to see which could get employees to log the most commutes by transit, carpool, on their bikes or their feet. Of those, more than 2,000 took at least one trip during the month of October using a method other than driving alone, and 1,899 made the goal of at least one day per week. Those participants burned more than three million calories, and saved $171,440 in commute costs while almost traveling almost 700,000 miles.
