DRCOG to honor the best of regional collaboration for 2023 annual awards celebration

Which projects, programs and people have made the Denver region one of the best places to live, work and play?

DRCOG is accepting nominations for the 2023 annual awards celebration to recognize the best in regional collaboration. Nominations are open for the Metro Vision Awards, John V. Christensen Memorial Award and Way to Go Awards through Friday, April 14. Winners will be honored at a gala in the fall.

John V. Christensen Memorial Award

Named after a former Arapahoe County commissioner and a co-founder of DRCOG, the award recognizes people who promote cooperation and collaboration for the benefit of the region.

Metro Vision Awards

The Metro Vision Awards recognize excellence, innovation, collaboration and leadership in problem-solving among communities and their partners.

Way to Go Awards

Way to Go recognizes commuters and employers in the Denver region who embrace commuting options that reduce traffic congestion and improves air quality. Way to Go will honor three winners:

  • Rising Star: A commuter who's new to sustainable commuting.
  • Employer Champion: An organization making it easier for employees to choose sustainable travel modes for their commutes.
  • Commuter of the Year: Someone who has made a year-round commitment to sustainable commuting practices.
